May Featured Designer - Week One Fancy Pants Designs

Our May Featured Designer, Sharon Jeffs has been hard at work to show you how to incorporate stamping in your layouts. This week she has been working with the gorgeous Fancy Pants Designs Clear Acrylic Stamps. Here’s a look at her creations:

Contemplating Mischief - Sharon used only one large corner stamp for this layout. She has created the circle out of wedges of paper scraps and stamped over the corners. The effect was the creation of a stamped circle to coordinate with the circle shape of the papers.

Tween - Sharon has used a swirl stamp to lengthen the floral bunch on either side as well as stamping the acetate with the two butterflies then folding and sewing them down. She has used Stazon Ink to stamp the plastic.

Summer - Using a distressed rectangle stamp to create a border over the 4×6 photo and finished off with a small corner stamp on each of the opposing blank corners.

Another Mini Book - Inspired by Ali Edwards

Filed under: Creations from TSE — mary@tse @ 10:59 pm

If you haven’t been to Ali Edwards’ blog of late, it’s well worth the visit.  She has created the most amazing album using My Mind’s Eye 4×6 inch transparency frames.  I have wanted to use these frames for so long, Ali’s book was the perfect excuse.  So here’s my scraplift of Ali’s idea.

The title of the album is Life Is Good and features Miss I and Baby A.  I am trying to capture the immediate bond created between siblings from the moment they meet.

I have used the following products; C Thru Ruler Company Titles Rub ons, MME Printed Paper and transparencies, Prima Marketing flowers, butterfly and jewels, Making Memories Cheeky Clips Flat Neutral and Glue Dots Mini.

I loved how easy the album was to put together, i hand cut one of the 12×12 chipboard sheets from our store and covered it.  My normal hole punch was strong enough to go through the chipboard and the printed paper - it was nice not to need any special tools.

I have cut up the C Thru Ruler Company Titles rub ons and used the words individually, this was really effective.  You don’t need to use these rub ons as a title.

Miss I was so excited when she saw the Prima tin I was working from, i had to do some serious explaining to keep the gorgeous butterfly in my collection and not hers.

Ice Cream or Scrapbooking Products ??

We had ice cream in our house this week - it was came in a really nice sturdy box … so when we finished i put the box in my office to use for packaging.  My gorgeous four year old daughter asked if there is ice cream in my office.  I explained the box was to be used for sending an order to one of my customers, her reply was “but they will see the ice cream box, open it and it will only be scrapping stuff, they’ll be sad”.

What would you rather?  i think the answer is pretty obvioius!

Have a good day.

MME Transparencies - Product Review

The gorgeous Terri Holbrook reviewed our MME Transparencies this week and this is what she had to say:

I love the way they liven up a page without overpowering the whole thing. They were easy to adhere with a small dot of Dimensional Magic in each corner. They could also be adhered with brads, eyelets etc for that little bit of extra texture to your page.

The frames were the perfect way to actually frame the subjects in each layout, bringing it all into focus.
Terri’s layouts incorporating the transparencies are below.
