This week sees us working with Diecuts. Again with Type its all about using different fonts and sizes to mix and match on your layout. The more different fonts and sizes you use the better effect you have with Type.

In Smile above, Lisa has used the Daisy D’s Autumn Patterned Papers and the accompanying Diecuts to match. Using Diecuts makes it super easy to put layouts together, especially when the journaling is half done for you.

In Handsome above,Lisa has used the MME Tres Jolie Handsome Patterned Papers and Diecuts to match as well as some computer Type journaling to tell the story with a little more detail.
Next week is Lisa’s final week as a Featured Designer, so week 4 will see Rubons with Type. I hope you look forward to the last two layouts.

TSE Beyond The Page Queen Jane Jones had fun putting together the new Kaisercraft Scrapbook Organiser. The results are just divine - who wouldn’t want one of these on their scrap desk !!
"I had so much fun putting these storage boxes together as they are so
easy to paint and very easy to assemble and I am not a construction
person, usually need a handyman just to change a light bulb LOL. But
these go together quite effortlessly. On the bright coloured Lee one I
used the Kaisercraft Playtime range of papers which can be found in the
store.

In order to keep theembellishments matching I simply cut out flowers from the paper
range and use pop dots to create a 3D effect. I loved it so much that I had to
make one for my own craft room using the Three Bugs In A Rug paper
range. I can see myself making a few more of these and takes no time at
all. Cheers, Jane.
Using editing software, you can create a number collage (dates of when photos were taken, a special occasion date - my case our wedding date) by placing numbers at various angles, making sure to overlap each number. Once printed, cut out, copy onto a patterned paper and recut out again and adhere to your page. A unique and different way of utilising TYPE! I have used the Daisy Ds Motherhood Paper pack as these papers set of the romantic tone, along with Hambly Screen Prints Rub Ons border and a Petaloo Peony flower - journaling I tucked away on a manilla tag with my own handwriting.

For a different take on TYPE I created letters from a film strip. Use the negative to form letters and handcut. Adhere your letters to your page and embellish with strips of the negative to enhance your layout. Also choosing a shape is another form of type. Create circles from editing software, print out, trace onto patterned paper, cut out and adhere to your page. I’ve used Daisy Ds Gypsy Harvest papers, Bumblebee Crafts Velvet Centred Flowers, Making Memories Staples, a Gel Pen and 1 roll of Kodak film.
