In Store Clearance

Now is the perfect time to pick up a great Clearance bargain in store. With 2008 almost upon us, it’s time to steer TSE toward a new direction. Next year I will concentrate on bringing you the latest release products with a focus on Patterned Papers and their coordinates. This will mean that scrapbooking basics such as adhesives and cardstock won’t be stocked in store, however, this will make way for more of the latest products - I understand this is what the majority of you are looking for from TSE.

Lots more products will be added to the Clearance section over the weekend. Please keep in mind that out of stock clearance items will not be backordered - orders will be processed on an as ordered basis. Products in the clearance section start at just 50c.

TSE Pre Summer Diet Challenge

Our Pre Summer Diet Challenge was held in the forum over the past 13 weeks. Lisa Hallett motivated us each with lots of healthy hints, challenges and recipes. Thank you so much Lisa ! I don’t have full details yet, but so far collectively we have lost 37kgs - a fantastic effort and congratulations to you all ladies.
I have three $50 gift vouchers to give away to the winners (please read you are all winners though!):
• Most kilograms lost goes to Lyndal.
• Most centimetres lost goes to Kerry.
• Biggest Lifestyle Change goes to Annette Lee. Annette wrote the following “The biggest lifestyle changes I made were: walking every day, eating less chocolate, choosing healthier foods as snacks and drinking heaps of water - the main thing is that I feel great”. Like a number of the ladies participating in the challenge Annette also dropped down a clothing size.

Congratulations to you all again ladies - we did great !.

Introducing … Jaimee Voigt

This week I have the pleasure of introducing my gorgeous friend Jaimee. I always enjoy seeing Jaimee’s work - I love her beautiful twin girls too. Jaimee has shared a little about herself too in her interview Jaimee has shared a little about herself too in her interview below:

Why do you scrap?

To preserve the memories of our lives, and remember all the little quirks and personality traits that make us special. I lost a lot of special people in a fairly short period of time, and I find that that experience has made me realise the importance of making our memories, of just how precious the little things are. Scrapbooking is also incredibly important to my sanity after a long day with two year old twins, it’s nice to kick back and create and clear my mind of toys, pottys and hair pulling !

Who/what inspires you ?

My family is my inspiration; just watching them makes me want to preserve everything they do ! I find inspiration from a good many of the TSE ladies here, such a talented bunch, I have really learnt so much from the challenges and other ladies since joining TSE. I have also recently discovered Ali Edwards’ work and am moved by her philosophy.

Do you organise your layouts in advance of just go with the flow ?

I usually start planning out the title and journaling first, I have pretty much finalised the wording of the journaling in my head before I sit down to do anything. I usually have a title and have planned out the mood I want to create, like happy, summery, sweet. Then I sit down and pick papers that help create the mood I want, I don’t worry about what colours “match” the photo, in fact I often don’t look at the photo until i have the background finished. I don’t scrap chronologically I just jump around according to what supplies I have and what ideas I have come up with.

Describe your scrapping style ?

I think my work is story driven. The journaling is by far the most important element for me and I try to be totally honest as I write. Stylistically, I think my work tends to lean toward simple decoupage, with lots of cut out patterned paper.

How often do you scrap ?

As soon as the girls start snoring I start scrapping !

What can’t you live without ?

In life: my family, my best friends and cheesecake !

In scrapping: Rub Ons, Chipboard Alphas, Kaisercraft Rhinestones and TSE forum !

Making Memories Christmas Cards with Lou Spiden

With Christmas fast approaching it’s time to start making Christmas cards for family and friends. It’s always nice to receive a handmade card as the recipient knows you have put in thought and effort. I have made a few examples using the Making Memories papers and embellishments in traditional red and green colours as well as a more modern range that includes blue, red, bright green and white.

Individual photographs and instructions for Lou’s cards can be viewed in the forum here.

November Challenges

November Tribute Album Challenge

The TSE Tribute Album Challenge is really starting to gather a following, a good number of TSE members have joined Jaimee’s challenge and I have been really touched by all that has been shared. The winner of last month’s challenge was Lara with her gorgeous layout titled “Favourites” pictured above.

This month Jaimee has given you two themes to choose from either Siblings or A Defining Object. It is never too late to join this challenge and keep in mind the album can be also be a living tribute. Jaimee has created her page this month honouring her Dad’s love of thongs (pictured above). Further details about this challenge can be found here.

November Scraplift Challenge

Firstly, congratulatons to Judith for her winning entry in the October Scraplift Challenge - so very well deserved.

This month it is Lisa Hallett’s turn to choose any layout from the gallery to Scraplift as November’s Challenge. Lisa chose Jaimee’s Bonded Forever layout, as Lisa said “I really love this layout of Jaimee’s, it is clean, soft and simple, and well worthy of scraplifting”.

So in keeping with the Christmas festivities, Lisa scraplifted a Christmas layout using Jaimee’s Bonded Forever layout.

We invite you to scraplift Jaimee’s layout too and upload your entry to the gallery by the end of the month. The winning layout will receive a $15 gift voucher to spend in the store. Good luck and happy scrapping.

November Sketch Challenge

Kathy Pitt has created a double page sketch for the November Sketch Challenge and has also created her own layout adapting the sketch to suit a single page layout. TSE Mod Sandy Myers has used the sketch to create her lovely layout titled “ZigZag Railway” pictured below. This month we are giving away a sweet Christmas themed prize for the winner of the sketch challenge. More details can be found in the forum and entries need to be uploaded to the gallery by the last day of November.

November Page Challenge

Our November Page Challenge set by Jane Jones and assisted by Marcela is to show us what is in your handbag! Both Jane and Marcela have created layouts using this theme (Jane featured above and Marcela featured below). This challenge is fun and easy - i look forward to seeing what is in your bag - mine is full of baby related objects !! Be sure to submit your entries to the gallery here by the end of the month. Further details can be found in the forum here.

Congratulations to Lisa Hallett, the winner of our October Page Challenge!

Can you believe it’s our Birthday again ! Time sure flies. At the end of this month TSE has been trading for four years - much thanks to all of you for making the past four years so wonderful. As always, we’re having a birthday sale

Traditionally we hold our annual Storewide Birthday Sale at the end of November - this year i’ve decided to bring the sale forward a couple of weeks to move it a little further away from Christmas. I’m sure your household is as frantic as mine at this time of the year.
• All products in the store are 20% during the sale period - today, Thursday, 15 November to Sunday, 25 November 2007 inclusive.

• Products in the ‘Birthday Specials’ section are discounted by a further 10% to 20%.
• We do accept direct deposit orders during the sale, however, payment MUST be made promptly. Orders will be held for 3 days only.

• Out of stock products will not be backordered.

• While our shopping cart is quantity driven, we cannot guarantee all products ordered will be in stock at the time of ordering due to the high volume of orders during the sale period.

• We reserve the right to cancel any order placed during the sale period at our discretion.

• Please be aware order processing will be slightly slower during the sale period. We will always endeavour to process orders as promptly as possible.
