There are a number of challenges taking place in the TSE forum at the moment. Take a look at these and join in with us…
The Tribute Album Challenge
Jaimee’s latest Tribute Album Challenge is to create a page on your Tribute Album person’s childhood. Here is Jaimee’s gorgeous example…
You have until the end of January to get your layout into the gallery. Better be quick! But remember, if you don’t get a chance to complete this months, you can always keep an eye out for next month’s challenge.
The Page Challenge
The other challenge taking place at the moment is Jane’s Page Challenge - also run monthly. This month Jane has set a challenge to scrap your word or goal for this year. Again, entries need to be uploaded by the end of the month. Here is Jane’s example…
Great prizes will be up for grabs for each challenge and keep an eye out for next month’s as well!
So, you know that our first Cybercrop for 2008 is fast approaching and is due to kick off on the 1st February. Excited? I am.
Stuff you need to know…
If you haven’t guessed already, the theme we are going with this CC is “love”. It is rather fitting as Valentine’s Day is looming already! Can you believe it? Of course, the “love” theme can be intepreted any way you like - doesn’t have to be all lovey dovey Valentine’s Day stuff. Intepret away to suit your style! I think we have come up with a set of challenges that covers degrees of the “love” theme.
The Cybercrop will be kicking off at 8:30pm (that’s Eastern daylight savings time) with the sign in. We will be playing some games shortly after in the chatroom (which is always a total riot) - there is a link on the righthand side of this page - and throughout the night announcing the four challenges that the DT has come up with.
The Cybercrop will run from the 1st February through to the 8th February (so you have heaps of time to complete the challenges) and then member voting will commence and finish up on Sunday 10th February (when we will play another game!)
Of course, there will be prizes galore up for grabs, both for the challenges AND the games. Speaking of which, here is one of the prizes that Jaimee has created for a lucky participant! Gotta be in it to win it - isn’t that what they say?
Check the forum for more details on the agenda for the CC and join us for a bit of scrappy fun.
by Al Hannah
If you would like to see more of Al’s work or have a look at the products she has used in this layout, then head over to the Gallery.
Just before Christmas one of our DT members, Ngaire Gilligan, ran a class in the TSE Forum to create a layout using some of the latest Kaisercraft Ivory and Ebony patterned papers. If you are interested in completing Ngaire’s “Glow” class, she has listed the material’s and instructions in the forum here so that you are able to complete the LO at your leisure.
You will get to try your hand at “colouring in” your paper whether you decide on chalk inks, colouring pencils, watercolours or whatever else you wish to use! And cutting your paper to use as feature embellishments. There are also a few layouts up in the gallery that members have completed from the class if you want to check out everyone else’s work.
Have fun!

She has compiled a list of 100 ideas you can use in your scrapbooking. There are heaps of good ideas in this list. Stuff that I would never have thought of in a million years!
